The stars were out on Friday night as Anthony Joshua and Wayne Rooney were among the celebs spotted at WWE Live.

The O2 in London played host to WWE Live on Friday night where Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was in action as well as former world champ Drew McIntyre.

Rhodes won the main event after he pulled out his signature move the Cross Rhodes on Shinsuke Nakamura in front of a sellout crowd at the 20,000 stadium.

And there was a meeting of the champions backstage as Joshua attended the event, meeting Rhodes and even donning his belt to pose for pictures.

AJ also met WWE superstar Natalya, who was in action at the O2 and beat Shayna Basler that night.

Joshua has not fought since his knockout victory over Francis Ngannou in March but has plans to fight again this year in September but no opponent has been named.

As well as the former heavyweight champion, another sporting superstar was in the building with Rooney in the crowd with his family.

His young sons are huge WWE fans while the Manchester United legend has dabbled in combat sports before as well.

Earlier this year, Rooney admitted he was in talks with KSI's Misfits Boxing over a potential fight in the ring, though nothing has come to fruition yet.

And even at the WWE the former England international was involved, famously slapping Wade Barrett after he trash-talked him at Raw in November 2015 in Manchester.

However, on Friday night, Rooney was more restrained as he sat with his kids and wife Colleen.

The WWE have embarked on their annual post-Wrestlemania tour of Europe and have already visited Birmingham and Cardiff before their London show.

Saturday night's event will see the roster travel to the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland while last week, a huge announcement was made that Berlin will play host to a premium live event in August.

En route, events will be held in Rotterdam, Brussels, Oberhausen, Stuttgart and Frankfurt before the flagship show in Berlin.
